Which to choose.

Dots are OpenAI’s always-on agents: each has a computer and browser of its own in OpenAI’s cloud, works on your goals in the background, and talks to you in ChatGPT, Slack and Teams. That is the same idea as a Crewaid bot. The differences: Dots start with one agent per account, while Crewaid is a crew of bots with their own jobs that message each other and share a task board today; you teach a Crewaid bot by showing it on its screen; and Crewaid runs on the model you choose or your own key, in your region or on your own infrastructure.

Choose Dots if

  • You already pay for ChatGPT Pro or Business Premium, which include your first dot.
  • Your team lives in Slack or Teams and wants the agent there.
  • You want an agent on OpenAI’s newest models.

Choose Crewaid if

  • You want a ready crew of eight bots with their own jobs, working in parallel and passing work between them.
  • You want to teach a bot a task by doing it once on its screen.
  • You are in the EU or the UK, want your own model or key, or want to self-host.
